We’ll get together for a photo walk in Lisbon. You can pick the spot, and I will gladly advise which neighbourhood might be interesting.

Meet your photography guide

Hello, my name is Marga! I’m originally from the Netherlands, but I began exploring the world at a very young age. After my tourism degree, I became a flight attendant and travelled the world for eight years. This is when I bought my first camera, and soon I was hooked! I loved capturing images of all my travels, and it remains one of my greatest passions.

I am now based in Lisbon, as I fell head over heels in love with the city. You can still catch me on the streets, always finding new locations and new things to photograph. And I’d love to show you Lisbon too during your travels!

I’ve been a professional photographer since 2006, and I’d love to show you how to take better images and bring you to some unique places in Lisbon. This is a great way to make the most of your time in Lisbon and explore the city!

Along the way, we can see picturesque streets, famous landmarks and the skyline from the many viewpoints. The most popular areas for street photography are Alfama, Bairro Alto, Graça, Oriente, and Belém. We can see a combination of areas, which can be completely tailored to your interests.

Do you prefer being in front of the camera? Explore my photo session packages and schedule a time slot!

FAQ

Do I need a fancy camera?

Nope, you don’t! Although many people want to learn how to use a DSLR, you can also join the class with your smartphone.

Can I bring my teenager?

You sure can! As long as your children have an interest in photography, they are more than welcome to participate.

What if I’m a total beginner?

Perfect! You will receive a PDF with basic instructions, and the training is hands-on while we walk through the city. Ask me anything you want! Please bring your camera manual, either in digital or hard copy form, to make the most of our time together.

Will we visit famous places or hidden gems?

Up to you! I would be happy to show you the highlights and attractions in the city. I personally love hidden gems and street art as well, so I can incorporate that and show you around.

What if I want a night session in summer?

Feel free to reach out to me to check availability. During the summer time, it can be dark late, so it might not always be possible, especially if I have early morning shoots the day after.

How many people will be in the photo class?

All tours are private, so it will be just you and any travel companions that might join you.

Can I do this with a friend?

The more, the merrier! There is an additional fee per person, and the group can be up to 6 people. For larger groups, please message me to inquire about availability.

What happens if I need to cancel?

Cancellations are free up to 24 hours in advance. After that, no refund is possible, but I’ll try to reschedule if availability allows.

What if it rains?

Rain can make the experience very unique! But I also understand if you prefer a sunnier day! We can cancel the tour or reschedule for a brighter day. As long as there is no storm or torrential rain, we can do a creative rain shoot.
