Does your heart beat faster when you see sparkling lights and smell the Glühwein? Mine certainly does, and Lisbon is a fantastic destination this holiday season! Whether you’re visiting or living in Lisbon, there are stunning markets for everyone.

Quick hint, Mercado de Natal Campo Pequeno and Wonderland Lisboa (with its ice rink and massive light displays, which feel straight out of a Hallmark movie) are usually my favourites! Keep reading and discover them all! I will also add some nearby markets as a bonus!

Every year, Lisbon transforms into a winter wonderland in the month of December, but then in the sun! Most markets in and around Lisbon are annual, but might just have a slightly different theme.
Some are pop-up markets, or new ones, and I always try my best to find the latest news and updates. In the coming weeks, more information and dates will be released, and I will update this post accordingly. Here is an overview of some of the best spots to enjoy the magic of this time of year!

You can even find an ice skating rink! And in the centre of the park, you’ll find decorated trees and beautiful decorations.

The market has charming wooden stalls that sell clothing, accessories, handmade souvenirs, and regional products. There is plenty of food to try, and you can grab a mulled wine or hot chocolate or two. If you have a sweet tooth, try some cotton candy or churros with chocolate!
