Are you struggling with where to find the shopping centres in Lisbon? This post is for you! Lisbon is an excellent city for shopping, with several malls to discover. But as most malls aren’t directly in the city centre, the shopaholics among us might wonder where to find all the shops.
As a Lisbon local who’s spent countless weekends exploring Lisbon’s malls, I’ll happily share some excellent shopping centres with you! For each, I will provide more details about the shops and facilities, the location, and how to get there. This way, you’ll quickly know which high street shops to discover in Colombo or which luxury boutiques you’ll find in Amoreiras Shopping Center.

My 10 favourite shopping malls in Lisbon
When I first moved to Lisbon, I knew only the downtown shopping areas, but soon, I was curious about where to find Lisbon’s shopping malls! So I asked a local and headed over to the Colombo Shopping Centre. Over the years, I’ve been to many malls, and depending on my needs and mood, I visit the different shopping areas in Lisbon. Here are my 10 favourite shopping centres in Lisbon!
1. Colombo Shopping Centre Lisbon Portugal
Centro Colombo is the largest mall in Lisbon and contains hundreds of shops! It’s easily accessible from downtown Lisbon, and the stores are mainly high-street stores. The mall is divided into three floors and is currently being expanded, so even more shops will be available soon!
You can find international brands like H&M, Zara, Primark, Aldo, and Adidas, but also local brands like Benamôr and Ericeira Surf & Skate. You can also find luxury brands such as Hugo Boss, The Kooples, and Claudie Pierlot. Colombo is perfect for all your shopping needs and is one of the top shopping malls in the city.


You can easily spend a whole day here, having lunch or dinner at the food court on the top floor, seeing a movie, or going bowling with your friends and family. Everything is under one roof, and Colombo is loved by locals and tourists alike.
- Where: Av. Lusíada, 1500-392
- The nearest metro station is Colégio Militar/Luz on the Blue Line.
- Opening hours: from 8 AM (stores and restaurants open at 10 AM) until midnight.
- Amount of shops: More than 300!
- Leisure facilities include a large food court with healthy and fast food restaurants, coffee shops, a Continente supermarket, a Celeiro health store, a health club, dry cleaning, shoe repair, a cinema, bowling alleys, and a children’s playground.
2. Department store El Corte Inglés
The department store El Corte Inglés is closer to the city centre. El Corte Inglés originated in Spain but has stores in Lisbon and Porto. El Corte Inglés offers mainly luxury brands such as KARL LAGERFELD, Ralph Lauren, Prêt-à-porter, and Marc Jacobs.

You can find clothes, shoes, accessories, and bags for both men and women. On certain floors, you can find brands like Converse, Quiksilver, and Vans. It caters to the young and older public.
Other floors sell luggage, notebooks, toys, kitchen wear and pet supplies. On the ground floor, a large cosmetics section sells brands such as Bobbi Brown, Carolina Herrera, La Prairie, and Lancôme.

- The nearest metro station is São Sebatião on the Blue Line.
- Opening hours: Monday to Thursday: 10 AM—10 PM. Friday, Saturday, and bank holidays: 10 AM—11.30 PM. Sunday and public holidays: 10 AM—8 PM.
- Amount of shops: El Corte Inglés is a large department store with several floors. You can also find a Decathlon and a Zara nearby.
- Other facilities include a Gourmet Food Market, a cinema, and many restaurants in the food hall on the ground floor. You can also enjoy the Gourmet Experience on the top floor. From the terrace, you have a stunning view over Lisbon.

3. Armazéns do Chiado
Armazéns do Chiado is a shopping mall in Lisbon’s downtown area. It’s near Arco da Rua Augusta and Rua Garrett, where you can find many more shops. The building has a rich history, and unfortunately, a raging fire destroyed parts of it in 1988. Armazéns do Chiado opened its doors again in 1999, and it’s a loved landmark in the city. If you are in Lisbon in December, you can see the beautiful annual Christmas decorations and light show on the facade!


Inside, you’ll find stores like Sephora, Mango, Aldo, and Parfois. The FNAC store is an extensive electrical shop that also sells books, vinyl, notebooks, and toys. If you forgot a cable, your camera, or your hair dryer, this is the place to go! There is also a hairdresser, Samsonite shop, and telecommunications store.
- Where: Rua do Carmo, 1200-094
- The nearest metro station is Baixa/Chiado on the Blue Line.
- Opening hours: From 10 AM until 10 PM.
- Amount of shops: 54 stores divided over six retail floors.
- Other facilities are several restaurants and a dry cleaner.
4. Centro Vasco da Gama shopping centre in Lisbon
Vasco da Gama Shopping Centre is located near Oriente Train Station in the Parque das Nações area and is closer to Lisbon Airport. If you arrive at Oriente Station and take the train or bus to Porto or the Algarve, chances are you’ll see this Lisbon shopping centre.
The mall is named after Portuguese explorer Vasco da Gama, the first European to reach India by sea. You will find many high-street stores such as Aldo, H&M, Bershka, C&A, and Intimissimi.

- Oriente at Parque das Nações on the Red Line is the nearest metro station.
- Opening hours: From 10 AM until midnight.
- Other facilities include a food hall, a Continente supermarket, dry cleaning and a cinema.
5. Amoreiras Shopping Center
Amoreiras Shopping Center is a lesser-known shopping mall in Lisbon, but it is perfect if you love luxury brands and fashion boutiques. It opened its doors in 1985 and was the largest commercial complex in the Portuguese capital at the time. You’ll enjoy it here if you’re looking for fashion or decorations.


After your shopping spree, you can even visit the building’s roof! The Amoreiras 360° Panoramic View is the best view over Lisbon and one of the highest spots in the city. You can buy a ticket on the first floor, and the elevator will bring you to the top in no time. It’s extra special when the sun sets!
- Where: Av. Eng. Duarte Pacheco, 1070-103
- The nearest metro station is Marques de Pombal on the Blue Line. From there, you can walk for 20 minutes or take the 753 or 723 bus. You can find the bus stop at Av. Duque Loulé, near Marques de Pombal Square.
- Opening hours: 10 AM until 11 PM.
- Amount of shops: More than 200 stores.
- Other facilities include a large Auchan supermarket, NOS Cinema, and several restaurants and cafes.
6. Centro Comercial Campo Pequeno
Campo Pequeno’s bullring is a true landmark in the city centre, and the building has transformed over the years into a shopping area and concert venue. Centro Comercial Campo Pequeno is located underneath the former bullring, and the shopping mall is relatively small.


If you are in Lisbon during Christmas, you can visit the lovely Christmas market here. Or check the event calendar, and maybe you will see a nice band! For example, I went to see The National last year at the concert venue.

- The nearest metro station is Campo Pequeno on the Yellow Line.
- Opening hours: Most shops are open from 10 AM until 10 PM.
- Other facilities include several restaurants, a Pingo Doce supermarket, a Cinema City, and a dry cleaner.
7. EmbaiXada
You can also enjoy a unique shopping experience at EmbaiXada, located in a former palace! Palácio Ribeiro da Cunha is located in the neighbourhood of Príncipe Real. The architecture is stunning, and you can find many local artisans inside EmbaiXada. If you want to shop locally, this is the place! You’ll find stores like Chumeco, Latitid, Benedita Formosinho, and Isco.



- Where: Praça do Príncipe Real 26, 1250-184
- The nearest metro station is Rato on the Yellow Line.
- Opening hours: Midday to 8 PM. Sundays from 11 AM until 7 PM.
- There is a Gin Lovers Bar & Restaurant on the ground floor.
8. Almada Forum
There are more shopping malls south of Lisbon, and Almada Forum is the largest south of the River Tagus. The mall, which opened in 2002, contains primarily high-street stores, and we sometimes go here for a change of scene. If you are on holiday in Costa da Caparica, this is the nearest shopping centre.
- Where: R. Sérgio Malpique, 2810-500 Almada
- How to get there: You can take the 3716 bus from Sete Rios Station, and this route will cross the Ponte 25 de Abril bridge. You can also take the ferry from Cais de Sodré to Cacilhas and continue by bus 3003. Travel time is around one hour.
- Opening hours: Sunday to Thursday, 10 AM until 11 PM; Friday, Saturday, and public holidays, 10 AM until midnight.
- Amount of shops: 230 stores.
- Other facilities include a food hall, an Auchan supermarket, and NOS Cinema.
9. Freeport Lisboa Fashion Outlet
Another amazing shopping gem south of the river is the Freeport Lisboa Fashion Outlet! This place is fantastic if you’re looking for discounted prices. The outlet mall is in Alcochete, and there are many shops! Visiting the mall is a great day out! You’ll find outlet stores by Adidas, Billabong, Calvin Klein, Diesel, Guess, Hugo Boss, The Kooples and many more!
- Where: Avenida Euro 2004, 2890-154 Alcochete
- How to get there: It’s easiest to book the shuttle bus to Freeport Lisboa Fashion Outlet from Lisbon.
- Opening hours: 10 AM until 10 PM.
- There are several restaurants and cafes.
10. Strada Outlet
You can also find an outlet in Lisbon: Strada Outlet! On average, international brands offer 70% discounts, and you can find stores like Calzedonia, Mango Outlet, Nike Factory Store, and Guess. But also Adidas, BillaBong, Paris, Reebok, and Skechers.

- How to get there: You can take the Yellow Line to Odivelas and take a bus to the Strada Outlet.
- Opening hours: 10 AM until 11 PM.
- There are many restaurants, an outdoor terrace and a cinema.
